Form II students are reading ROMEO AND JULIET. As one of their activities, groups of two entirely rewrote the balcony scene, giving it a modern context and using contemporary language. Locations ranged from Las Vegas to fast food joints. Romeo and Juliet were transformed into characters such as Superman and Wonderwoman, Napoleon Dynamite, Princess Leah and Yoda, and even Power Rangers. Juliets stood on the "balcony" outside the Form I English room, and Romeos spoke from the enclosed garden outside Mrs. Mindlin's office.
