USFirst Robotics Competition
SSA participated in the USFirst Robotics competition on March 13, 14, 15 at the Peterson Convention Center. A small and determined team from SSA designed, built, and bravely competed with and against a field of 35 teams in the spirit of "Coopertition" ( a word coined by the USFirst organization). It means to cooperate and to compete – there are times a team may be your teammate and later your competitor. SSA placed 16th out of 35 teams, but more importantly we were exposed to an amazing event that stressed cooperation and competition in an engineering environment.
Kudos to Matt Malesky, Robert Tisherman, Maggie Fero, and Patrick Brown for attending the event; and Andy Bauer for strong Web Page support. There were a handful of other students who helped out a bit over the last few months.
