Shady Side Academy’s Summer Discovery Programs welcome students from any school to have a fun, enriching experience with us!  Summer 2008 includes...

• The 72nd year of Day Camp Discovery provides 5-12 year old children a fun, balanced program of swimming, tennis, soccer, basketball, arts & crafts, nature study, woodworking, and games. Campers choose a major and minor area of focus each week.  2008 Weekly Day Camp Majors!
• The 86th year of Summer School Discovery offers academic courses for students, grades K-12. Students may elect to take a course for credit, enrichment, or review. Students may cross-register with Day Camp Discovery.
• The 6th year of Arts Discovery brings together aspiring artists with professionals in programs designed to nurture developing talent in the Hillman Center for Performing Arts and Benedum Visual Arts Center.
• The 37th year of Sports Discovery allows students to try a new sport or develop skills under the guidance of outstanding coaches. Day and overnight programs are available for athletes K-12.

Registration
Payment in full (credit card via the Internet or check by mail) is required with each child's application.  Tuition is due by June 1, 2008 in order to guarantee enrollment.  Cancellations must be submitted at least one week before a program begins to be eligible for tuition refund, subject to a $50 cancellation fee.  Class and camp fees are not prorated for July 4th, personal illness, or weather related disruptions.   Classes and camps will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.   Shady Side Academy reserves the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment.

Updates 2008 Summer Discovery Catalog SOCCER CAMP:  MLS Soccer will only be offered August 4-8. CAMP PRE-K:  Will be offered in a half day format only.  Melanie Claus, Phyllis Guering, Kim Vallejo, and Tiffanee Peterson, highly experienced early ed teachers, will lead this new program! TEACHER WORKSHOPS: Algebra and Geometry will be combined into one 3 day workshop. NEW DATES:  Summer School's Concepts of Physics will be offered June 18 - July 16. CHANGE:  Adidas Tennis will be offered as a day program only, 9am - 4pm, $525. CANCELED: Glenda Project.  Intermediate Chess Discovery. CANCELED:  Future Champions Football Camp (July 29 - 31)
