Emergency-USA
Fundraiser
For hospital in Sudan that treats children who are victims of
war
Form I Class Officers and Representative Francesco
Zenati put together a fundraiser to raise money for a newly
built hospital in Sudan that treats children who are victims
of war. The hospital has a special cardiac unit since
rheumatic fever is so deadly in Sudan. The Emergency hospital
provides treatment free of charge. Emergency is a non-profit
organization that builds hospitals and treatment centers to
treat civilian victims of war and land mines. Emergency's
web-site states: “In today’s conflicts, 90% of the
victims are civilians. Every year war kills or seriously affects
the lives of millions of unarmed people worldwide.”
Students sold products ranging from stickers to t-shirts, and
students who purchased a product or donated a dollar were able
to dress down on Friday, February 8.
