On February 1, 2008, Shady Side Academy Middle School Swimming traveled
to the Washington, DC area to compete in the 2008 Middle School Swimming
Championships, hosted by the Holton Arms School. Girls Middle
School Swimming tied for 3rd place overall out of 17 teams, and Boys
Middle School Swimming finished 9th out of 17 teams with a roster of
only five swimmers.
Top 10 finishes include:
- 6th place, Girls 200 Medley Relay - 2:14.86
- 6th place, Boys 100 Freestyle - Grant Zentgraf - 1:01.22
- 7th place, Girls 100 Freestyle - Kelly Marous - 1:05.50
- 10th place, Girls 100 Individual Medley - Maggie Leech - 1:15.73
- 9th place, Boys 50 Freestyle - Grant Zentgraf - 27.51
- 8th place, Girls 50 Fly - Maggie Leech - 32.45
- 7th place, Boys 200 Freestyle - Luke Georgiadis - 2:28.50
- 6th place, Girls 200 Freestyle - Kelly Marous - 2:25.49
- 9th place, Girls 200 Freestyle - Chloe Gulati - 2:29.70
- 10th place, Girls 200 Freestyle - Christiana Jueng - 2:32.83
- 10th place, Girls 50 Backstroke - Isabel Aiken - 34.51
